Do The Work.

Students come tomorrow. All around campus has been a flurry of activity. People are setting up classrooms, getting dorms ready, learning new job descriptions, responding to emails, volunteering for activities, laminating all kinds of things for all kinds of jobs, even still getting settled into new houses people have just moved into. Team USA

With my departure drawing near, just over a week away, I’m finding myself once more on “Team USA,” a little apprehensive about my impending transition back to “Team Kenya.” Honestly, it’s kind of great here. Saturday after Saturday, they were up and at ’em by 8:00am- practicing at the church across the street. Ten rehearsals offered, five required to be part of the performances, we practiced and practiced Handel’s Hallelujah … Continue reading Hallelujah!

It’s a four-day weekend where the dorms clear out, the students are off loaded onto their parents or guardians for a weekend of rest for the students and staff alike. Ironically, this supposed to be rest time always seems to be a party! People take the time to go … Continue reading LONGonot
